Dr. Michael A. Pisacano earned his M.D. at the Chicago Medical School in 1999, where he earned the Dean’s Award. After completing a medical internship at the Yale University’s Norwalk Hospital, he completed his ophthalmology residency at Montefiore Hospital Medical Center, where he continues to be a Clinical Instructor. His research in Juvenile Diabetes has been published in the medical literature and he has presented his work at the international ophthalmology conferences sponsored by the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology. Working with his father, Dr. Anthony M Pisacano, in 2007 Dr. Michael established Pisacano Eye Surgery & Laser Specialists at its current location at 2590 Frisby Avenue in the Bronx. where he continues to offer quarterly educational seminars for other eye doctors. Dr. Michael Pisacano has performed over 10,000 cataract, refractive and laser procedures and continues to be involved in the Bronx community. He has performed free glaucoma screenings for the Congressional Glaucoma Caucus Foundation and various other community associations. More recently, Dr. Pisacano has served his community as President of the Bronx County Medical Society and has represented the Bronx at the annual meeting of the Medical Society of the State of New York which shapes policies recommended to the state legislature to enact positive change for patients across the state. Recognizing a need for collegiality and interactive learning among his peers, in 2018 he founded the Bronx Ophthalmic Surgeons Society of which he is President. Dr. Pisacano is certified the by American Board of Ophthalmology, a member of the American Association of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, a Fellow of both the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Anna Djougarian, MD, practices comprehensive ophthalmology with an area of expertise in the medical and surgical treatment of glaucoma as well as routine and complex cataract surgery. Dr. Anna Djougarian graduated magna cum laude from Macaulay Honors College. She obtained her medical degree from New York Medical College in 2013. After an internship in Internal Medicine, she went on to complete her medical and surgical Ophthalmology residency training at Northwell Health, where she served as a chief resident in her senior year. She completed her subspecialty training in medical and surgical glaucoma at the prestigious Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital. Dr. Djougarian has presented her research at various conferences including the American Glaucoma Society (AGS), the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO). She has a passion for global medicine and resident education. She has traveled on a medical and surgical mission to provide eye care and perform cataract surgery in remote mountain villages in Calca, Peru. She also actively serves as a clinical and surgical attending for the Northwell residency program. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), the American Glaucoma Society (AGS) and New York State Ophthalmological Society (NYSOS).
Dr. Brian D. Krawitz, M.D., is a cataract and glaucoma specialist and is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Dr. Krawitz graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania and received his Doctor of Medicine degree with Honors from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He completed his ophthalmology residency at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, where he served as chief resident. He then completed a clinical fellowship in glaucoma at the Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary, where he performed several hundred surgical procedures. Dr. Krawitz’s areas of expertise include cataract surgery and state-of-the-art glaucoma management and surgery. He has authored multiple scientific articles in peer-reviewed medical journals. Dr. Krawitz is an active member of The American Academy of Ophthalmology, The American Glaucoma Society, and The American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
Dr. Juliana E. Boneta earned her Doctor of Optometry degree with high honors from SUNY State University of New York and completed a residency at Northport Veterans Administration Medical Center specializing in primary care, vision therapy and low vision rehabilitation. She was the recipient of the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence, Louis Hermann Award for Outstanding Compassion in Patient Care and Vision Service Plan Award for Excellence in Primary Care. Dr. Boneta has attained her fellowship with the American Academy of Optometry. With an affinity for clinical research, Dr. Boneta has co-authored a number of ocular disease based research papers that have been published and/or presented in peer reviewed optometric and ophthalmologic journals and scientific conferences. Dr. Boneta has extensive clinical training in the management of glaucoma, cataracts, corneal and retinal disorders as well as in pediatric eye care, contact lens management, surgical co-management and low vision consultation. She is a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa (International Optometric Honors Society), American Academy of Optometry (Fellow), New York Academy of Optometry (Member and previously sat on the board of directors), New York State Optometric Association and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology. Dr. Boneta is an Adjunct Assistant Clinical Professor of the State University of New York, State College of Optometry, as Co-Supervisor for the optometric externship at Pisacano Eye Surgery and Laser Specialists.
Moontaha Choudhury is a certified optometrist who has been working in primary care optometry in New York City. Dr. Choudhury is the child of Bangladeshi immigrant parents and raised between NYC and Detroit, MI. She graduated from Wayne State University with a Bachelor of Sciences in Biological Studies. She completed her optometric education at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences University College of Optometry. Dr. Choudhury is fluent in standard Bengali and proficient in the Sylheti Bengali dialect and Spanish. She enjoys spending time with her family and caring for her house plants.
Jessica Fuentes is a New York native, born and raised in the Bronx. She is bilingual and speaks fluent Spanish. She has worked in the field of ophthalmology for over 20 years, which began when she graduated from New York City Technical College in 1998 with an Associates Degree in Opticianry. She worked for multiple optical companies including: Pearl Vision and Pildes Optical. Jessica has been working closely with the Pisacano family for a majority of her ophthalmologic career. She started as a technician at New York Eye Surgery Center and subsequently worked with Drs. Michael and Kristin Pisacano in White Plains. During this time, Jessica developed a passion for medicine, specifically ophthalmology, which inspired her to return to school obtaining a dual degree in Bachelors of Science/ Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from Touro College in 2012. She has been practicing Ophthalmology as a Board Certified Physician Assistant at Pisacano Eye Surgery and Laser Specialists since 2012 working closely with Drs. Anthony and Michael Pisacano. Dr. Nikola Ragusa is a leading expert in glaucoma and a skilled laser cataract surgeon. He completed the prestigious seven-year program at CUNY Medical School, graduating with top honors and induction into Alpha Omega Alpha from Downstate School of Medicine. Dr. Ragusa served as Chief Resident during his ophthalmology residency at Northwell and as Chief Glaucoma Fellow at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. He is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and actively mentors doctors in training. Dr. Ragusa is engaged in both academic and private practice environments. As a specialist in micro-incisional glaucoma surgery (MIGS), he has delivered lectures nationwide. His comprehensive eye care services offer tailored treatment options for each patient. Notably, he was among the first in the U.S. to offer innovative procedures such as Femto Laser Cataract Surgery, OMNI Canaloplasty, the Hydrus microstent, the Synergy Multifocal Extended Depth of Focus Lens, amongst others. Srilata Naidu, MD practices Comprehensive Ophthalmology with a Subspecialty of Cornea Diseases. She offers medical and surgical care of routine and complex cataracts, Femtosecond Laser-Assisted Cataract Surgery, Premium Intraocular Lenses as well as Corneal Diseases. Dr Naidu completed her undergraduate and medical school at Brown University. She did her internship at Beth Israel- Deaconess Hospital affiliated with Harvard University. She was Chief Resident of Ophthalmology at NYU School of Medicine. After completing her Cornea Fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, she was asked by NYU to return and teach Ophthalmology residents. Subsequently, she has been providing care in the community setting. Dr Naidu has been involved in research during her tenures at Brown University, NYU and Wills Eye Hospital. She has contributed book chapters and review articles on Corneal diseases.
Dr Ryan Rogers is a board-certified Ophthalmologist with subspecialty training in eyelid oculoplastic surgery. This means that in addition to practicing general ophthalmology, he has a special interest in surgical correction of eyelid conditions such as ptosis, blepharoplasty, and other eyelid malposition such as ectropion and entropion. He also takes care of lesions of the eyelids like chalazia, cysts, or other conditions. Dr Rogers first met Dr Michael Pisacano while in medical school together at the Chicago Medical School. Afterwards, he remained in Chicago, where he did his residency at Cook County Hospital. During his residency, he learned how to care for many patients with multiple eye problems, such as diabetes, hypertension, dry eye, uveitis, etc. He then went on to do a fellowship in Oculoplastics and reconstructive eyelid surgery at Baylor College of medicine in Houston, Texas. He has worked all over the country including here in the Bronx. He looks forward to continuing to take care of patients in the Bronx. His outside interests include art, Pilates, skiing, travel, and enjoying all the cultural amenities that NYC offers.

Dr. Trisha Mor is a highly regarded ophthalmologist with over a decade of experience in the New York area.
